1952 Ford Fire Truck - (built 2005)

I was looking for a quick project to build and I came across this IMEX 1/25 scale 1952 Ford Fire truck kit at my local hobby store. It was a simple pre-painted die-cast kit but I thought with a little detail painting I could have myself a nice self model in just a few evenings. I basically built it out of the box, but I added some detail painting to the wheels, running boards, trim, and grill as well as adding some thinned flat black washes over the hoses and other equipment in the back to add a little scale realism. The front bumper comes from the kit painted silver but I thought it made the truck seem too fancy for such a hard working vehicle. I painted mine black instead. It was a pretty simple kit but with a little detail I think it really comes to life.
